For me, winning isn’t something that happens suddenly.....not even after the intense rush of adrenaline surges inside you, the "riders are ready", the corners are carved, the jumps are overtaken, the pain is lingering, your mind is focused. When the ice is rutted, the finish line is getting closer, visions of podiums dance in your head and the crowds are roaring. Winning is something that builds physically and mentally every day, every hour, every minute that you train and every night on the back of your eyelids then again when you arrive at the starting gate in your dreams.
